  We really enjoyed our trip with ChinaTorukTour. The service and hotels were excellent, the trip well-organized, and we saw and did a lot in our short time in the country. We felt a bit pressured at times at the tourist shops, but found them educational. We really enjoyed the excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall (attached picture) and the Terracotta Warriors. Excellent tour in value and would recommend this tour and this company to others!

  The tour exceeded our expectations. We were very impressed with the provided guides, drivers, and tour vehicles. Day or night, they were always on time to meet us a rail station, airport or hotel. The drivers were always safe and the provided vehicles had plenty of room for luggage and general touring. The guides were knowledgeable and personable and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to their stories of life in China as well as the history of the sites visited. The hotel selection was superb. We very much appreciated the central locations amid shopping, activities and restaurants. The accommodations were very comfortable and provided breakfasts excellent. Our trip was absolutely fantastic. We found the people of China to be warm and welcoming. We want to thank Virginia for developing and arranging the tour. The itinerary was perfect and well arranged with ample time to see everything in an unhurried manner. You can't find a better touring company.

  We are still travelling at present and I will answer this email when I am home and have enough time in about 2 days time. We had a fantastic trip in China and our guide, Tony, was brilliant. Everything went really well, better than expected.
  
  Tony, our guide was excellent. Always polite and considerate.He spoke really well and even understood our Aussie accent and jokes! He didn’t ever pressure us to buy goods or do shopping and was always helpful in making other arrangements if we didn’t want to do shopping. Because we were a small group it was easy to change some of the things on our itinery and he was always very helpful to accommodate our changes even if they were last minute arrangements.
  
  The driver and the vehicle were also excellent and were always in tip top condition.We felt very safe and privileged having such a good car and great driver.
  
  All the meals arranged by the tour were really good. We let Tony, our guide, select most of the dishes and he always did an excellent job as everything we had was delicious and of very good quality ingredients. We really enjoyed the meal on the Longji Terrace region, because it was such a surprise to get such a range of delicious home style cooked dishes with very fresh ingredients.
  
  The other meal we really enjoyed and was such a highlight of the trip was at the Yangshou cooking school, being taught how to create our own delicious dishes and we really enjoyed the whole experience.
  
  We also thought the last meal at McFounds was of excellent quality and better than we expected for a Chain or Franchise place.
  
  We received bottled water every day and was greatly appreciated.
  
  I will be happy to email some photos when I get them put onto the computer. There were so many beautiful places we visited, we were truly impressed.
  
  We would be more than happy to post any comments onto your website and we highly recommend your tour services. When we had the day at the Yangshou cooking school, we were talking to Pam about how impressed we were with your arrangements and she agreed that you were indeed one of the best tour companies.

  Mr Johnson in Beijing was really good in terms of his knowledge, it was like talking to a history professor and we enjoyed him a lot. 
  
  The Xian guide tours seemed to us that she was not so happy doing her work and her knowledge was poor. However she helped with some shopping.
  
  Dona in Shanghai was excellent and she kindly reorganize our tour and her sense of humor was amazing! Good value to the company 
  
  Yes, bottles of mineral water are provided every day.
  
  Almost everything you did has met my satisfaction. If i will travel China next time, hope you will do better.

  In general the guides were very good. the majority spoke good english. some easier to understand than others. our favourite guides were Coco and freddy who made a real effort and helped make our trip very enjoyable.we went to a souvenir shop per city, did not mind going as they were quite interesting and did not feel pressured to buy anything.
  
  Drivers and vehicles were all great. no complaints
  
  We found the lunches varied greatly from place to place. sometimes we were taken to posh hotels anbd lots of food ordered other times we were taken to very cheap local restaurants and not even given a drink other than the free green tea. The first restaurant in Beijing and the last one in Guilin were probably our favourites. 
  
  We had not realised that we were entitled to bottled water. received it sometimes but not every day.

  The guides were very helpful and courteous throughout. The stops at souvenir shops and factories were within reason and not forced. 
  
  The guide and driver in Shanghai were both wonderful. They were beyond our expectations and gave us wonderful service. The guide, Justin Lee was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was able to understand our needs and do the needful.
  
  The driver in Beijing was wonderful and his car was in excellent condition. He maintained a comfortable temperature in the vehicle and provided us with drinking water and a clean, comfortable interior.
  
  The driver in Shanghai was also very knowledgeable about the city and his skill in maneuvering the traffic was commendable. He was also very punctual and courteous. His vehicle was always very comfortable and clean.
  
  The meals arranged were very enjoyable and ethnic. We enjoyed the variety and change offered by them to our daily palette. My personal favourite was the one where we had the traditional Peking roast duck. 
  
  We were provided by the daily quota of two bottles person of bottled water and we are grateful for them.
  
  We would love to share our pictures with you. We will send them to you as soon as we have sorted them out.

  We were very pleased with the service we received. We were appreciative of Ms Laura in Beijing because we did not want to stop at the jade factory because it would take time away from the Great Wall. We really enjoyed Ms. Laura in Beijing and Chris in Xian. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and have a good time. Ms. Laura in Beijing and Nick in Guilin gave us suggestions for extra things to do in the evening which were very welcome. All of the guides were very courteous.
  
  The car in Beijing did not have a seat belt on the passenger side otherwise all vehicles were very comfortable and clean. All drivers were very courteous. Our driver in Xian was excellent has he had to drive over some very rough roads to get to Foping.
  
  All meals were very good. The best was the Peking duck in Beijing and the dumpling banquet in Xian. The lunch in the local home in Beijing was also a very good experience.
  
  The hotels were excellent. The only exception was the hotel in Foping which was very rough. The lobby was very nice, but the room itself was not. Our guide, Chris, knew this and prepared us for it. He also made sure we had something for breakfast during the stay in Foping. 
  
  We had plenty of water daily and it was appreciated.
  
  We were overall very pleased with the value we received for our tour through China.

  In every aspect, my dealings with ChinaTorukTour have been excellent. They were always very responsive to emails, were friendly and helpful and provided exactly the tour we asked for. They made suggestions to improve the itinerary I proposed and were happy when I asked for a few changes before we booked. Once in China, our tour progressed without any problems at all, everything was very smooth and professional. We plan to make further trips to China in the future and will have no hesitation in using them again.
  
  As we travelled to so many places we had 6 guides in total. They were all very polite and their English was quite understandable. None of them arranged stops at factories or souvenir shops unless it was in the tour or we asked them to do so. We never felt pressured in any way to shop. All of the guides were keen to explain the local customs and history and to show us the best places to photograph. Standout guides were Tony in Suzhou, who was very polite and helpful; Ben in Wuxi who has been to Australia several times and knew how to deal with crazy Aussies!; Nick in Huang Shan who had excellent English and good knowledge of his area and finally Victor in Zhangjiajie, who’s strong accent was sometimes more difficult to understand but was more than made up for by his friendly nature and sense of humour! We would happily use all of them again in the future.
  
  The drivers in all places were very good. We felt safe and the vehicles were clean and all air conditioned.
  
  Our tour included all breakfasts and lunches but only 1 or two dinners. We were keen to try local dishes and were happy with the choices made by our guides. I think they were surprised that we could eat (and preferred) more spicy food, which was useful as we went further west, where the staple seasoning was chilli, closely followed by ginger and garlic! There were one or two meals where the dishes were rather bland but overall we always found something that we could eat and never went hungry. 
  
  Most of the hotels were in a good location so we could walk to shops and restaurants easily. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed trying out our limited chinese to order meals etc. as in many of them there were no English speakers. We chose our hotels with these reasons and were very satisfied with the result.
  
  
  All of the hotels we stayed in were fine, apart from the Gusu in Suzhou. The room we had there was dark and in desperate need of a repaint and refurbish. It stank of smoke so we had to spray with air freshener. Our travelling companions had the room next door to ours and theirs was fine so we were just unlucky. We were there for two nights and if we had thought of it sooner we should have asked for a different room.If we return to Suzhou in future we would probably stay in a different hotel or at least make sure we were happy with a room at the Gusu before we settled in. The linen and the bathroom were clean otherwise we would certainly have asked to be moved.
  
  As far as we can remember, we had enough water in each place, although I don’t think it was supplied in Changsha.

  The guide was great, very knowledgeable. She spoke clearly and politely. 
  
  The driver service was excellent, The vehicle was clean, and air condition was not needed because of the outside temperature. 
  
  The meals were all great, the Peking duck was my favorite, because it seemed very authentic. 
  
  The hotel was very good, and i would recommend it to others.
  
  I did receive the the 2 bottles of water.

  Our Beijing and Guilin guides were most impressive but all the guides with the exception of the Chongqing guide were great company. It would have been nice if the Chongqing guide had taken us to a high look-out point so we could have viewed this magnificent city.(We had plenty of time before the cruise ship departed)
  
  Very happy with the service.We had to rate the Beijing driver a little low.We believe he may have been a little fatigued.At the same time he was extremely prompt.
  
  All meals are good.
  
  Hotels good.The cruise was excellent and will highly recommend it to everyone.
  
  All in all, thanks so much for your prefect work to oganize the wonderful trip for us.

  1.All the guides spoke competent English and knew their area and history to a gooddepth. They were always helpful and polite even with some customers whowere hard to live with.
  
  It would have been good to have some guidence on extra"s available and an idea of their costs, also some guidelines on tipping.
  
  The shops we were taken to were usually related to a local industry and we found this very interesting and not under pressure to buy, and there were various market opportunities that we found excellent however I was unable to buy a Chinese flag anywhere???
  
  2. Driver Service and Vehicle
  
  No problems, well done. All the buses were clean and well driven.
  
  3. Lunches and Dinners
  
  Enjoyed all the meals supplied and discovered some excellent restaraunts when left to our own resources.
  
  The beer allocation was good for the men but the girls missed the wine.
  
  The Hot pot lunch that Gerry arranged was a nice change for us but the vegetarians in our group had problems, but Gerry looked after them.
  
  4. Hotels and Cruise
  
  They were most excelent and as good or better than what can be found in some parts of the world.
  
  Definitely good value for the money.
  
  5. Daily Bottled Water
  
  The water supply was excellent and we did use them extensively. I thought the water in most of the hotels would have probably been OK.
  
  7. References
  
  We would highly recomend China Tours to give you a good look and experiece in China and we would particularly like to thank you Candy for the preparation you put into our tour :-* :-*>:D<
